Viltrox AF 27mm F1.2 Pro APS-C Lens For Sony E-Mount

I'm a working pro in the Sony ecosystem. I use many different cameras and lenses. Since Sony started to refresh the APS-C line, and bring us the FX30 and A6700, there were some obvious gaps in their lens lineup. Viltrox has stepped in and created some truly amazing lenses with their optical and build quality. The Viltrox lenses are really THAT good. Each Viltrox I use, makes me want more. I'm no YouTuber or "Influencer" so I don't ride the "Hype Train". I work with my cameras for a living, and if it doesn't work, I don't work. Well done Viltrox. I can't wait to see more!

The lens is absolutely stellar in terms of image quality. Beautifully sharp even from f1.2 all across the frame. AF works very well. The only problem I noticed is that the lens struggles a bit when something is moving fast closer to or further away the lens. It got a bit better after updating the firmware of the lens, but it still doesn’t match native lens performance. Maybe it might be fixed via further firmware upgrades. But overall I am very satisfied with the lens.

Bought this to replace my Sigma 35mm f1.4, which was already a workhorse for protrait shoot. But this Viltrox simply brings it to another level. A must have for portraits ! The sharpness is amazing even at f1.2 !
