With all the mixed review I am seeing, can Viltrox kindly provide us potential buyers the state of compatibility of this product with the latest Nikon Z APS-C cameras? (i.e. Nikon ZFC, Nikon Z30) Thanks.
I have different adapters for you, but with the firmware update of the Nikon Z6 camera to version 3.4, everything stopped working with my Canon 100mm. Please, help!!! When will the firmware for the EF-Z and EF-Z2 adapter be released, the filming season is coming soon and I can't work like a fool
It works great with my Z5 before it updated the firmware. After the update, the autofocus does not work anymore, and there isn't a way to fix the problem. Hopefully they will upgrade the firmware soon and fix the problem.
I have bought this adapter a few months back and paired it with my Z fc and a Canon TSE-24mm f3.5. It works like a charm! I still haven't tried it on my Z50 but I'm expecting it to work just as well. One thing to note before you buy is to ensure to check the compatibility list published by Viltrox before you buy, just in case. However, my Canon lens is not listed in the supported lenses list but still works fine, so if you still want to take the plunge even though your lens is not listed, do so at your own risk. Furthermore, be mindful to check the updates page for the adapter's firmware, as changes to your camera's firmware might impact compatibility.
When I bought my adapter, Viltrox had published an updated for the firmware just a week earlier to fix compatibility after a recent Z fc update pushed by Nikon, so it was goo to see timely support from Viltrox to ensure compatibility remains intact.
