TO ANYONE HAVING ISSUE WITH FIRMWARE UPDATE

My mount had bricked after updating to firmware 1.4. I reached out to support and they gave me a different version of firmware. That fixed that issue!
Also, I noticed that Nikon lens would disconnect with the body sometimes, especially if I accidentally touch the "mounting lock" lever while using the camera.
I took the mount and noticed that the lever has a very weak contact with the very tiny circuit board right behind the lever.
You have to disassemble (would void warranty -- if there is one..) first in the nikon side, and little bit of unscrewing at the bottom mount side to fully expose the lever. I added a few layers of tapes to elevate the lever's height against the trigger. Now it works reliably!

Dont Upgrade Firmware

I upgraded to firmware 1.4 just to test it but now my adapter is not working anymore. the camera can no longer see the aperture of the lens. why release such an update without proper testing. Now what I got is now a brick!

No Support for a7 IV

Don't buy this converter if you use a Sony a7 IV. Doesn't seem that Viltrox is able to get this done even after more than one year of releasing the Sony a7 IV.
However, in my case, it worked well with the older Sony a6400 and a6400.
